After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 2023, Laura traded in the cattle and dust of the family cattle station for the tropical paradise that is Cairns.
Coming from the country, she believes that everyone deserves to have good physical health and fitness, and is determined to make sure her patients can kick their physiotherapy goals.
With a background as a dance and circus instructor, and NRL sports trainer, she has a particular interest in athletic development and performance, along with all manner of musculoskeletal conditions, and loves treating the patient as a whole human being, putting them at the centre of their own recovery.
If she’s not at her sewing machine, Laura can usually be found in a book.
Her dream holiday is a palaeontology excursion to Hell’s Canyon (where the T-Rex was discovered), or a visit to her ancestral Scottish Clan lands.
She’s also a competitive aerialist and dance teacher, loves Krav Maga (Israeli martial arts), and got her official Mermaid license while free diving in the Whitsundays.
She also sits on the Queensland Disability Advisory Council, advocating for disability inclusion and representation across the state.
