Adam graduated from Fremantle’s Notre Dame University with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) in 2009.
After graduating, Adam started working in his home town in Western Australia where he took on a job in a private practice for the first years of his career. This involved working closely with local and state level sporting teams, completing home visits and treating injuries for young and old when in the clinic. Later he diversified into a combined occupational Physiotherapy and Ergonomics role where he worked onsite with refinery and mining employees. This was where he discovered his passion for a more preventative style of healthcare, interacting with otherwise healthy employees and educating them on injury prevention and the benefits of completing tasks with optimal manual technique and posture to minimise the risks associated with repetitive and sometimes heavy workloads. All this with a view to preventing injuries before they occur, promoting a healthy lifestyle but also a healthy attitude towards work practices.
Just prior to moving to Cairns, Adam lived in Melbourne, where he spent further time in private practice, adding Clinical Pilates to his repertoire which furthered his enthusiasm in preventative medicine and exercise rehabilitation. He then secured an Injury prevention role working on industrial sites – travelling and improving the lives of employees at different work-sites around the city.
Through his diverse range of experience, Adam has developed a collaborative approach to injury management, benefiting from a variety of knowledge gained over his career and recognising the importance of good quality rehabilitation to achieve optimal results for his patients. He prides himself on thorough assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of patients to get them back to doing what it is they love as soon as possible.

At Proactive Physiotherapy we recognise that people still injure themselves, and are in pain, so we are still open for face-to-face consultations for the time being, In the interests of everybody's health we are trying to minimise these face to face treatments, so if your condition can be helped without face to face treatment we will offer you telehealth or phone consults.
For your safety, we have reduced physiotherapists hours to allow us to have only two physiotherapists and one receptionist in the clinic at any one time. We use screening questionnaires for everyone attending the clinic and have strict sanitising procedures in place.
For anyone that doesn't want to come into the clinic, our telehealth service, “Physio By Video” is up and running. Anybody who is interested in this service should contact us by email: email@example.com, or by phone on 40536222 and a physiotherapist can discuss how this works.
Reception will be attended between 830am and 5pm and Monday to Thursday and 830am to midday on Friday, or you can leave us a voice message at other times.
Thank you for your understanding. We wish you all safety and good health in the coming days and weeks.
Julie Faulks and the entire Proactive Physio team.
